EASTER 08

Okay - this post is totally out of order, but I really wanted to show off the kids' Easter outfits! The picture which includes their outfits is definitely not the best picture of the kids, BUT they're not really morning people, so... this is the best I could get! Easter was so much fun for us this year - Caden is now really into hunting Easter eggs. Rylee continues to love that tradition - she is also very intrigued about the true meaning of Easter. She loves hearing the story of how Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead, and she ESPECIALLY likes watching the Easter drama at church. Of course, they both REALLY like getting Easter baskets as well!

Fifth's Disease

Rylee came home from daycare with a terrible rash yesterday. After a trip to the doctor today, we found that she has Fifth's Disease - this isn't a big deal; however, it's HIGHLY contagious and looks worse than it seems. Apparently, the only symptom is a rash! Today, I picked Caden up from daycare and found that he ALSO had the rash. Check out the splotchy babes!

Rylee's Party

Rylee had her 5th birthday party on April 12th. We decided to have a small "princess party/fashion show" theme since this is very "Rylee style". Aunt Maria was very GRACIOUS to come dressed as a princess for us - she read the story of "Sleeping Beauty" (Rylee's choice) as part of our entertainment. Aunt Jill was our hair stylist - each girl got a cute "updo" before the fashion show!

Getting Up-to-Date!

Rylee is the oldest of our two children - turned 5 April 14th. Caden was 2 on November 17th. Both are growing like weeds and NEVER cease to amaze me. Caden has just finished potty training - I believe we've been working on this for about 9 months - we're FINALLY there!!! Rylee went for her Kindergarten screening on April 15th, and scored in the 99+ percentile on the DIAL-3 Screening. She did have some difficulty in the area of "catching a ball" - dad was a little disappointed about that and blames it on me :)!
