Today, we went to the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia, SC with our Sunday schol class and families. The zoo was a bit crowded. Rylee was actually our well-behaved child (for the most part). Caden, on the other hand, decided to be very moody. I'm not sure if he was just in a terrible mood or if he didn't feel well (I like to blame the bad behavior on something if I can!). He really wanted to roam freely (of course); however, with the large crowd, I couldn't seem to keep my eyes on him unless he stayed in his stroller or in my arms. Rylee has learned to actually be aware that she could get lost if she doesn't stay close to us, so it is getting a little easier to keep up with her! The kids are always infatuated with all the animals. Overall, our trip was tons of fun - this was the first time Steven has been able to join us on a zoo trip, so it was great to have him along. We spent most of our day with friends Ginger and Jason, Sidney and Carter; Heather, Caine, and Cooper; Amber, Bill, and Landon; and Jodi and Zach. We were separated from the rest of our group upon arrival and were able to meet up with them briefly at the end of the day. As you can see in the picture above, Caden was overdue a nap by the time we left! He fell asleep before we made it halfway through the parking lot and back to the car!
